Type of work:
Design and development of product features (UX/UI), from unified search to permission management.
Delivery:
Brand Portals with header search, stable tree structure, filter chips, and download management with watermark.
Team:
Giacomo Dalia; Warda development team; CPO; client stakeholders (Vibram, Campagnolo, Fulcrum).
My role:
UX/UI Designer — discovery with stakeholders, field observation, interaction definition, micro-UI and micro-copy, prototyping, handoff, and QA.
From the internal archive to the brand showcase:
Problem:
Initial tests showed that the search was scattered and slowed down the experience.
Solution:
It was made more immediate with a single central search field and advanced filters available only on request.

Problem:
The initial archive was no longer sufficient to meet new and broader needs.
Solution:
Create distinct and accessible portals, anticipating different needs with a targeted and simple approach.
Metadata, permissions, and downloads: the power behind a simple experience
Results
Conclusions
Looking ahead, the direction is clear: the multilingual configuration of assets (in continuity with the SeeCommerce platform), mobile version for on-the-go scenarios, and automatic notifications to inform about new content or relevant updates.
Some aspects remain to be addressed — file versioning, license expiration, and shared guidelines for watermarks — which could become the ground for the next iteration.

From the internal archive to the brand showcase:
The original idea was straightforward: to provide the Vibram team with an organized space to store and consult historical and identity material of their brand. However, discussions with new and different stakeholders revealed a broader need: not only did the professionals require it, but sales, press, and partners also needed quick and controlled access to updated and diverse content. Therefore, the portals were opened to the outside, and in cases like Campagnolo and Fulcrum, they were separated by target (Press and Trade) to offer more relevant interfaces, language, and content. This choice lowered the learning curve and reduced information noise: each audience finds what they need first, without unnecessary friction, improving user management and differentiating the registration processes for Trade and Press portals, each with its dedicated steps.
Problem:
Initial tests showed that the search was scattered and slowed down the experience.
Solution:
It was made more immediate with a single central search field and advanced filters available only on request.
From the internal archive to the brand showcase:
The first implementation alternated a sidebar loaded with filters with tree navigation (folders and subfolders). It was powerful on paper but unclear with many customized metadata: time wasted deciding how to search, even before searching. The solution was to shift the focus to a single search field in the header, capable of querying name and attributes (with priority on the name) and combining multiple factors in the same query when needed; secondary filters are positioned in advanced search, to be opened only when necessary. Active filters are always visible as removable chips with one click — a micro-UI that clarifies the active filtering and provides greater awareness to the user. At the same time, the fixed tree structure in the sidebar offers a cognitive anchor for those thinking in terms of collections, seasons, or categories: many users report that they "orient themselves first, search later," with less hesitation on first access and greater confidence in the interface.
Problem:
The initial archive was no longer sufficient to meet new and broader needs.
Solution:
Create distinct and accessible portals, anticipating different needs with a targeted and simple approach.
Metadata, permissions, and downloads: the power behind a simple experience
The real competitive advantage lies in customizable metadata: each brand defines its own attributes and can filter according to its catalog logic. To avoid exposing this complexity to the end user, we kept it "under the hood": the search remains unified, logical priority goes to the name, and more advanced controls emerge only when they are truly useful.
On the security front, the experience changes based on the role: from a simple visitor to profiles with advanced privileges, the platform decides what is seen and what can be downloaded. The download can concern a single asset or entire folders (including subfolders), with restrictions such as mandatory watermarks for sensitive materials. The project was born with the Vibram Heritage and has been consolidated "in the field": during demos and negotiations, finding the "right image" in seconds is worth more than any slide.
In this scenario, the combination of unified search + stable tree + visible chips has reduced cognitive load and made interaction more natural even for non-technical users.
Results
After go-live, we recorded solid adoption by target users: 76% of Campagnolo/Fulcrum sales agents began using the platform, with no abandonment. Usage steadily grew to about 160 active commercial users per month, with an average of 2.2 downloads per asset in the first 90 days, and especially a 32% reduction in asset retrieval times during demos, calls, and meetings.
Quantitative results are accompanied by perceived improvement: a smooth navigation of assets, less stress typically associated with complex interfaces, and a consistent experience even among users with different levels of competence.
